The magnolia tree in the garden is just beginning to come out into full bloom. I like to get pictures of it when I can because the flowers only last for a short time before either the wind or the rain batters them from the branches. It's looking particularly lovely in the sun today.
The weather is truly beautiful and has been all week. HImself has been out in the garden doing a lot of clearing and has begun work on making a herb garden from the old pond next to the shed. We are teaching Phaolin that it is not to be used as a digging pit!!
The ice cream colour afghan is coming on a pace.
The yarn is Sirdar Calico and I really can't decide if I like it or not. I have more or less decided that if I don't like it I will keep the blanket downstairs but not on display and then use it as a travelling blanket. The acrylic in it means it's lighter weight than the all wool or all cotton type so I reckon it will be small enough to pack into a rucksack for rest stops when out walking the hounds.
Here it is again all scrunched up on my rocking chair while I went to make anice cup of tea.
And speaking of hounds, the dogs are making the most of the gorgeous weather by sitting outside, in the shade.
Or lying outside in the shade.
Well it is Friday night and I have one more call then it's the weekend so I'm gonna go pour myself a glass of wine ready for when my call is done and then sit down with crocheting for a relaxing evening... provided I can stay awake.
